Grace is never over…but the grace for a season can be over. That is one way to know that God is about to change your situation. I love when God changes my seasons. God knows the time you will go through situations and he provides enough grace to stay in it and a way out.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 says;
For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.
One way to know that your season’s grace is over, is that you can’t stand it anymore. Am not referring to people who are grumpy or complainers. No. In every season God tests us to produce fruits. It’s always about fruits. Always. That’s why I am not referring to grumpiness and ungratefulness. One is fed up yes, but one has produced so much fruits of patience or peace or love or joy such that you won’t end up disappointed, only appointed! A way will be made soon after or is made no wonder the agitation. Time to move.
The best way to know God is changing your situation or a season is over is to ask him plainly. Some people don’t have to ask, they know coz they stay abided to the tree, flowing with the spirit and nothing passes them such that they know, they even know what is next. For example Daniel who knew that captivity for the Israelites in Babylon was over coz he was conversant with God and with the Scripture as Jeremiah had prophesied. Can you imagine the people missed it and stayed in the same situation of captivity yet it was written in plain site that after 70 years it’s time to move.
I am talking about real life here even. God may have provided a way for us. and we don’t know. When we complained the first time God heard, even if we didn’t utter it with words but grieved, God saw.
I remember when I wanted to change departments in a certain company I was working, I asked to be moved, they refused the first time but the second time I asked again and the head of departments agreed no question asked. At this time I was ready because even my attitude was different this time around. I wasn’t moving out of complaining, I was moving out of gratitude for I had conquered what I was complaining about and my spirit knew they wouldn’t refuse me if I asked again. A way was made, a promotion coz I had finished the purpose of that season and was ready for my new.
As a person who has had traumatic past, I had prayed about issues of the heart for quite some years until I would even give up seeing no changes but ALAAS! Who is God! When it was time time to move to my place of power and conquer the past hurt, I went right in this time effortlessly and took my power back. It was the Holy Spirit who urged me to make a bold move towards taking my power back. That is how I conquered past childhood trauma and oppression. I also conquered emotional eating after years of trying. But when I tried again, this time the grace was sufficient to enter and take my place. Man, I not only stopped emotional eating but the underlying issues, that is the traumas, were healed.
Holy Spirit should be our best friend, he knows when God has something good for you. He knows when time for oppression is over and things are on your favor.
People stay in the same place coz they don’t see the possibilities. That’s where you need the illumination of the H.Spirit. I had a coworker around that time I wanted to move departments who seeing how I was granted permission also wanted to do the same, but never really officially asked or submitted an email request, she stayed there talking and complaining. A perfect comfort zone. I also felt like she didn’t feel worthy that she will be heard and didn’t have the courage to go for it come what may. Many lack the courage to get out there. They prefer to stay comfort zone that they already know.
Holy Spirit gives the courage. To stand up to people and take your place.
When the grace for your season is over, God will get you out by hooks and crooks. Look at Baby Moses in the river, helpless, tossed and turned about in a basket but when it was time, the princess of Egypt, who was barren, barren..can you see why it is by hooks and crooks?happened to go to bathe in that river as though there were no enough jacuzzis in the palace. Found him and didn’t think twice. Don’t play with God’s timing. You will move even if there seem to be no way in the natural. Someone will be rendered barren… for you.
God is very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very watchful about time. He counts and numbers our days like it is his business. He said 70 years for Israelites, they decided add two more for themselves out of ignorance. He said 3 days for Jesus.
When I was homeless in the streets, I did everything in my power to stay sane and find a place for me to park at night. I used to stay at this motel sofa and they allowed me to sleep there and even gave me food, look at that (grace), but after six days they asked me out and I was now out on my own out of options, but then suddenly somebody called me saying that they kept thinking about me…It’s justice with God, when the grace for your season is over he will come, he never lets it get ugly.
